Do you charge for estimates?
No. Every estimate is free, on-site, and itemized so you can see exactly what each portion of the work costs.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry general liability and workers compensation coverage. We can email a current certificate of insurance on request.
Do you use subcontractors?
We self-perform the work we advertise. On rare specialty items we partner with vetted local trades and tell you up front who is doing what.
Do I need to be home for the estimate?
It helps so we can walk the yard together and hear what you actually want, but we can also do measurements with a homeowner photo tour and a follow-up call.
How quickly can you start?
Lead time depends on season and project size. Small jobs often start in one to two weeks. Larger hardscape and grading installs usually book three to six weeks out.
Do you pull permits?
Yes when required. Walls over a certain height and some drainage tie-ins require permits in Greene County and surrounding jurisdictions. We handle the paperwork as part of the scope.
Retaining walls and hardscape
Retaining walls and hardscape.
Do all retaining walls need drainage?
Yes. Water trapped behind a wall is the number-one cause of failure. Every wall we build includes a drainage chimney, perforated pipe, and a real outlet.
Which is better, block, stone, or boulder walls?
Block is the most versatile and cost-effective for engineered walls. Natural stone is the premium look. Boulder walls excel at large grade changes and natural sites. We walk you through trade-offs at the estimate.
How long should a properly built retaining wall last?
On a compacted base with proper drainage and geogrid where required, walls typically perform for decades with minimal maintenance.
Pavers, stone, or stamped concrete for a patio?
Pavers offer the best long-term flexibility, repairability, and freeze-thaw performance. Natural stone is the premium look. Stamped concrete is the lowest up-front cost but harder to repair when it cracks.
Drainage, grading, and dirt work

Can grading fix a wet basement?
Often yes. If water is hitting the foundation because the ground slopes the wrong way, regrading the perimeter is the most cost-effective first fix. We pair it with downspout extensions and drainage where needed.
Will a French drain solve my standing water?
Often yes, but only if it has somewhere to drain to. We assess outlet options before we recommend a drain so you do not pay for a system that has nowhere to go.
What is the difference between rough and finish grading?
Rough grading sets the major contours and drainage. Finish grading is the smooth, debris-free surface ready for sod, seed, or hardscape.
How long does dirt work take?
Most residential dirt work jobs finish in one to three days depending on volume, soil, and access. Wet weather and rock extend that timeline.

Do you offer landscape design?
Yes. We design with plants that thrive in Ozarks soil and climate so the install still looks great in year three. Design is included with installation projects above a certain scope.
Do you handle plant warranties?
We stand behind installed plant material and walk you through realistic establishment expectations at handoff. Aftercare and watering are critical to plant survival and we are transparent about that up front.
Do you require a contract for mowing?
No. Weekly, bi-weekly, and one-time service all run month to month. We earn the next visit by doing this one right.
